One Year Down

How long have I been reading stuff here?

We are blown away by how fast this year has gone and how much you’ve helped us to accomplish in such a short time.  When we first launched on November 16, 2011 we had no idea what we had in the works.  In fact, since our launch only one year ago, we’ve received over 55,000 unique visitors and over 100,000 page views!  We’ve gone from being a team of two, made up of two high school sweethearts, to a team of six, along with a smattering of guest posters.  We want to thank you all for your support, your likes, your sharing, and your words of advice because if it wasn’t for you we wouldn’t be motivated to share quality stories, reviews, advice, and to hit the road for a run as often as we do.  We’d like to thank the companies who have helped us grow our following and trusted us with their products, even though we came looking for assistance at such an early time for our site.  Last, but definitely not least, we’d like to thank Berkeley Running Company for teaming up with us over the last year and for their help in growing our community both locally and nationally.

What’s next?

With one year down, and our initial goals shattered, we have even bigger plans for the rest of 2012 and 2013.  We want our site to become a community of runners of all ages, sexes, sizes, and experience levels.  We know that every runner has to start somewhere, and value every question and opinion our followers have asked or shared, whether you’re getting out for your first run, or if you’re an ultra-marathon runner looking for a place to share a story.  We are hoping that over the next year, we can triple the size of our audience, work on the stability of the site, increase our social media engagement, and start running monthly give-aways.

WOW, that is pretty aggressive, how do you expect to get all of that done in just one year?

Don’t worry, we have a plan!  First off, we are looking to grow our team, we are in need of quality writers who are well-informed and interested in an outlet where they can offer advice, share stories, and review products regarding fitness.  If you, or someone you know, is interested in joining the TR Crew please email us at [email protected].  Secondly, we’d like to have our readers become more engaged with our site by sharing, liking, and commenting more often.  The only way we can grow is if you spread the word (I promise our friends and family have heard enough at this point)!

That’s it?

Of course not!  We have two other exciting new things that we are launching today.

Stickers:

We’ve received our first round of stickers from StickerMule.com.  Sticker Mule offers high quality stickers with:

  • Awesome print quality – Helps make the colors of the Technically Running logo really pop!
  • Extra durable vinyl – Protects your Technically Running sticker from damage.
  • Weather resistant – Keeps your Technically Running sticker beautiful through rain, snow, and sun because its UV laminate.
This is a great way for you to help contribute to our success, because for a small donation of just $3.00 you can not only provide us with the funds to keep our site going but you can enjoy a beautiful sticker to put on your water bottle, white board, car, computer, or forehead!
